Nighttime Parties

Become a patron of a festival with resounding success and unique in France.
For nearly 40 years, the Night Festivals have attracted large audiences each year. Created in 1987, this theater festival draws its inspiration directly from the grand parties hosted by the Count of Grignan at his Provençal castle. Spectators enjoy guided tours through the castle's rooms, punctuated by theatrical and musical vignettes. Initially conceived with modest resources, thanks to the support of villagers and volunteers, the event gradually developed, taking its current form in 2004. Now, an original theatrical production is created and performed each summer in front of the monumental facade of Grignan Castle, from the end of June to the end of August. This event has become a true landmark.

Large-scale projects to reinvent Grignan

As part of a State-Region Planning Contract (CPER), a major investment campaign is enabling the launch of large-scale works and progress on the tourist and cultural repositioning of Grignan Castle. Continuing the works that have been underway since September 2023, the Drôme Department and the EPCC (Public Establishment for Cultural Cooperation) of the Drôme castles are jointly carrying out several phases of construction:

  • the development of a new visitor route
  • la restoration of the Prelates' wing and the Court of the Ruins (integration of new services for visitors: shop, restaurant, etc.)

Estimated cost of the works: €12 million. Works planned for the next 5 years.
